Free Swarm Removal Goleta
I received a call from SB Vector Control about saving this swarm that somehow ended up in a roadway before finding their way to this small bush. The bees went into the box, came out, and went back in. I left this one until after dark to give them time to settle.

Small bee swarm that was camouflaged on the side of an old avocado tree. Swept these into a box with 4 frames and will check on them in a few weeks.

Bee Hive Removal Carpinteria
An old storage box that was hardly used made a good place for a new hive. This hive was saved by removing comb and placing into a proper bee box. Bees were swept and the hive relocated to an avocado orchard.

Free Swarm Removal Santa Barbara
This was a swarm located just off a public space in a local condo project. The caller wanted to make sure the bees were saved... since the association routinely called a pest company to handle - the less humane way! Notice in the video below there are two individuals just 4-5 feet from the ladder, but are perfectly safe. Swarming bees are not aggressive or defensive.

Bee Swarm Removal Montecito
This swarm was so high up... there was a crew of tree trimmers - one of whom was happy to dislodge the swarm from the top of this oak tree. The box was placed to pick up fliers, and within a half hour this group of bees was off to the avocado orchard to be placed in their new home!

Free Swarm Removal Santa Barbara
Swarm Season is just about to kick off - - - Nice sized early swarm up fairly high in this tree. I placed the swarm ball into the box and then placed the box up in the tree to pick up stragglers... video below shows bees walking over to the box in search of their queen!

Santa Barbara Bee Removal
Hive in Electrical Box - Santa Barbara
Exterior electrical boxes need to be kept in good repair. Scout bees will find the crack in the boards (2nd photo) and direct the swarm to a new hive location. This was a new hive, 4 sheets of comb approx. 10 inches long. The owner was fortunate to have found it and have it removed sooner, rather than later. Given enough time, next spring the bees would have continued to draw out comb to cover the boxes and wiring shown.

Lompoc Hive Removal
Hives can look inconspicuous, but letting them go unchecked for years just means there will be more to remove later. Many owners become accustomed to bees in a wall, shed, or out-building... but there always comes a time when the bees just become bothersome.
